I have been researching the SNYDER/SNIDER family from the Eaton area for many years. If you have any connections to Simon SNIDER (m. Mary PENCE), Valentine, or George D. I would love to hear from you. I'm currently trying to find the birth place and parents of Simon (b. May 1773 PA d. 1851 Eaton). The spelling changed from SNIDER to SNYDER during the 1850 census. Other Preble Co. family names I have are YOUNG, HOLSINGER, HECKMAN.

Ralph HUBLER - b. 1898, Preble Co, OH; d. 1963, Darke Co, OH. His parents were Sylvester Francis HUBLER and Harriet "Etta" BONER. Ralph married Maud MCKINNEY in 1918 and they had 15 children, but only raised 12. Three children died either at birth or very early age. Any information on this family is greatly appreciated! Searching Abraham FREEMAN family. Came from England with 7 brothers and settled in N.J., all were in Rev. War. Abraham later moved to Lancaster Co, Penn. His son Wm.H.F. FREEMAN and wife Mary (CAMPBELL) lived in Preble County. Later moved to Sangomon Co, Ill. Children:
Clarkson: Sept 14, 1808 md Nancy FISHER. Died Sept 25, 1891 in Lancaster, Dallas Co, Tx.
Phebe: Oct 29, 1810 Preble Co, Ohio, md Benjamin PLEW, died April 8, 1883, Lancaster, Dallas Co, Tx. md 2nd to Samuel SOUTH in Sangomon Co, Ill.
Margaret: md John BAKER.
Abbie (Abagail): md John BAKER aft her sister died.
Abraham: Dec 26, 1815 Preble Co, Ohio. md Margaret PENNY. Moved to Springfield, Ill 1837.

Abraham's Children:

I am searching for information about William DEHAYS (DeHASS) (b.1791;d.?). William came to Mercer Co., Ohio in 1836 from PA. He was married twice (I think). One wife was Alverda DOUTE. He had 4 children that I know of: Samuel (b.1808); Briggs (b.1818); Isaac (b.1822); and Josephus (b.1848). The children were born and lived in either Mercer or Preble Co. William would be my ggg-grandfather. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
