McWHINNEY, KING, SIPPY
Am trying to determine if Levi MCWHINNEY and Margaret KING who married 6 June 1850 in Preble Co., OH, are the parents of a Stephen MCQUINNEY born 1860 supposedly in Coles Co., IL, who in 1886 married Olive SIPPY in Madison Co., IL. Marriage license for Stephen and Olive give Stephen's parents as Levi MCQUINNEY and Margaret KING, both born in Ohio. The parents of Stephen MCQUINNEY may have gone from Ohio to Kansas and been passing thru Illinois when Stephen was born.

I am seeking information on any of the activieies of Meador TURNER, who moved to Preble Co. in 1828. Daughter Sarah married Cornelius BEISON, 4/2/1834, and daughter Ann married Josiah FILER, 7/1833. Son Calvin is listed as a defendant in Court of Common Pleas action in Preble Co. in 1841. I am particularly looking for any information about Calvin, and another son, Albert TURNER.

James and Elizabeth JAMISON MAUZY moved to Preble County between 1802-1820. They had the following children: Joseph, Sarah, David, Hannah, Urcella, Rebecca, and William. Joseph MAUZY married a Margeret D. Crisler in 1832 in Preble County. any information about MAUZY, JAMISON, CRISLER, BAKER would be appreciated. I will be happy to exchange information.

Dr. William B. GILLESPIE was a physician in Preble County in the late 1800's. He had one brother, John STUTZMAN (sp?) GILLESPIE. Their father was also a William GILLESPIE, who died quite young. His grandfather was John GILLESPIE & his great-grandfather was James GILLESPIE who died in Montgomery County, Ohio. I have a copy of a letter he sent to his first cousin, Eva HOLLAND HALL, my great-grandmother. I would be happy to share with descendants of this family.

I am looking for info on Albert AVRA/AVERY who married Eliza STUMP in the 1860's. She died at age 22 and Albert remarried Hannah ?. They proceeded to have 8 more children. My ancestor is the only child of Albert and Eliza, Mary Elizabeth AVERY/AVRA who married Elias OVERLA. I would like to e-mail with anyone who involving any of these surnames. John DILL, b 1811, d Mar 1886, Greenfield, Adair co. Ia, sp1. Margaret SHIRES, m. 5 dec 1829 Vermillion Co. In sp2 Lucinda WORKMAN DOUD DILL is the base of present day DILL family of over 500 descendents. Have records on most of them after John DILL era. All help will be appreciated.

Thomas CHILDERS/CHILDRES was a Baptist minister in the Miami Valley. He was born abt. 1777 VA. His first wife was Elizabeth, surname unknown. He married 2nd Pheobe PERRY 17 Feb 1820 Miami Co. OH. I find Thomas CHILDERS in the 1850 Preble Co. OH census, Gratis Twp. Thomas 73 VA, Phebe 69 MD, Mary F. 13 OH. Thomas purchased land in Preble Co. from 1821 to 1834. Is there anyone who has knowledge of his children? There are indications that Thomas CHILDERS could be the father of my 2g gf John CHILDERS who was born 1797 VA and died 1854 Darke Co. OH. John CHILDERS resided in Preble Co. OH 1830. Thanks for any help.
