PAINTER, James Would like to have contact with anyone working on the PAINTER family. James PAINTER died in Preble Co. Oh. Sept 11 1914. His last wife's name was Sarah. Last name unknown. First wife was Mary. She was listed in 1880 census. She must have died between 1880 and 1900. The direct line I am looking for is the son of James, whose name was Charles Lewis who married Jeanette KESSELRING.

I am seeking information on my great grandfather, James FITSIMMONS. He was born in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, August 28, 1831. He died in Fairhaven, December 1, 1902. He enlisted in the Union Army at Camden, February 20, 1864 (54th Regiment, Company B). He married Nickley APPLEBY, June 27, 1861. This was his second marriage. He had a daughter by a previous marriage who married W.E. M_CHRISTE. The latter had a thriving photo copying business in Camden. I do not know the circumstances of James' first marriage, i.e., where his first wife died or they divorced. There was not good feeling between the daughter of the first marriage and the children of the second marriage. I would appreciate any information anyone has on the above.

On 12 Jun 1834 in Preble Co. he married Leah Railsback HARRIS b. 15 Sep 1817 in Preble Co. Oh. She d. 28 Apr 1887 in Andrew Co. Mo. I am interested in info on both and I am more than happy to share what I have.

John WIKLE and Catherine SHIRER/SHYRIGH were married 1798 VA. John WIKLE died 1829 Preble Co. OH. Buried: unknown to me. Their known children:

In the 1820 Preble Co. Census, there is a Frederick WIKLE of Twin Twp, and George WIKLE of Twin Twp. Are they related to my John WIKLE of Harrison Twp.?? I am trying (have been for years) to sort out the WIKLE/WIKLE/WEIKLE. Any help is so appreciated. Thanks..........

I am searching for information on James C. MACKEY who was born abt. 1820-1822 in Montgomery Co, OH and died 20 Oct 1875 in Preble Co, OH. He was married to Delilah BUTLER 19 Aug 1841 in Shelby Co, IN. She was born 2 Apr 1821 in Bath Co, KY and died 28 July 1914 in Anderson, IN but is buried in Preble Co, OH. They were the parents of 12 children, but I am only aware of the names of 7 of them, and do not know birthdates or places. I am especially interested in this info as well as the parents of James C. MACKEY
