I am looking for information on Jacob GILBERT and wife, Mary/Catherine SHEETS who supposedly lived in this part of Ohio between 1856 and 1867. Their first 5 children: George, Clay, William, Fannie, and Jenny were born in Ohio. Jacob and his wife may have come from Maryland. They later moved to Illinois. Any help would be appreciated.

Searching family of Matthew J. WRIGHT and Mary Susan FRANCISCO. He was born in Va. in 1874 and died in your Preble County. Mary was born in Va. in 1879 and died ca. 1979-1981. They had nine children. I found them in census records. I am a FRANCISCO by birth, the daughter of a decendant of Mary Susan FRANCISCO WRIGHT. I would be interested if there are any cousins left. I am researching the FRANCISCO family.

William GILMORE, b.11 Jul 1831 in Preble Co. Looking for names of parents, siblings, grandparents, etc. His father died in 1836 or 1837. Have some information that either a Samuel GILMORE or William GILMORE may be his father. Was confirmed as a Presbyterian. Have picture of a woman that is identified only as the the mother of William GILMORE.

Caston BREMERMAN, born in Germany married Margaret HOFFMAN, daughter of Daniel in Baltimore, MD, in 1825. Lived in Preble Co. in Washington, twp. Several children and grandchildren moved west to MO, then on to the Salina, KS area.

Andrew SHULTZ lived in Darke Co, wife sister of Margaret.

William TOMAN. Lived in Montgomery and possibly Preble.

I am looking for a family listed in the 1850 census for a Benjamin BELL married to Lydia SHEARER in Preble Co. in 1818. Members of the family in 1850 were: Benjamin age 55 b. Penn; Lydia age 53 b. NC; John age 22 b. Ohio; Daniel age 19 b. Ohio; David age 16 b. Ohio; Benjamin F. age 11 b. Ohio; and Elizabeth b. Ohio. My g-g-aunt used to correspond with a descendent of Benjamin F. and my aunt passed on his obit. He was married to Eliza SHAFFER. It is believed that my g-g-grandfather David is his brother although he was born in Dayton in 1834. Would like to know more about this family and who their ancestors were. The family has been doing research on this line for over 30 years and has found no definite connection. If anyone has any information it would truly be appreciated. Thank you.

I am seeking information on my Grand Parents. They were George Andrew ELLIS & Anna Ethel or Ethel Anna MAHAFFEY. They were married in Ohio and migrated to Michigan around 1920. My Grampa was a cement packer in Cement City, Mich., when their 2nd son Mart was born in 1922. And were living in Chelsea Mich. They had 6 children. John, Mart, Wilbur, Ellen, Kate, and Bernice. George b.abt.1896 d. 1940. Ethel b. abt.1902 d. 1968. Any information on this couple would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

I am researching the family of John Henry KLUSMAN. He and his family emigrated from Germany sometime around 1850. They settled in Preble County, Ohio. His wife's name is Anna. Children Anna, Margaret, William, Diedrich, Adeline, J. Henry, Herman and Mary. Diedrich or Dietrick and Anna stayed in Ohio when the rest of the family moved to Kansas. Any help would be appreciated.

Tellis (b.1872) married LEATHERS and lived in Illinois, and Franklin S. TELLIS (b.1877). Mary MCNEALY's father was Hiram MCNEALY (b.1808) from Virginia. Any help is greatly appreciated.
