Scarce info. says par. were Archibald Monroe CAMPBELL, b. 29 Aug. 1841 Preble Co., and Maria Isabelle SMITH, b. abt 1851 West Alexandria, OH. Sometimes Archibald used his middle name, Monroe, as his first name. Need help on this!

I am despartly searching for any information on the FURREY/FURRY name. My father Leonard T. FURREY was born in Twin Township, Preble County Ohio (between West Alexandria and Eaton, Ohio). I have some information dating back to Jacob FURRY d. Maryland, married Julia Catherine MORNINGSTAR from VA. Most after Jacob are found in Preble County, OH. I am descended from Henrich EICHENBERG's son Samuel EIKENBARY, through Samuel's son Zachariah. We have extensively researched Zachariah's family and will share information. Have some information on other children of Samuel but would like more, particulary Reuben EICHENBARY/EICHENBERRY, postmaster at Wabash, Indiana. Am looking for any current descendants of Samuel to share information. Samuel's wife was Mary ALBAUGH, daughter of Zachariah ALBAUGH of Preble County. Badly need to know the name of Mary's mother, second wife of Zachariah ALBAUGH. His third wife was Catherine, probably HARTER.

I'm trying to find out about an ancestor of mine, Wiley B. JONES. He was born March 18, 1846 in West Elkton, Ohio. He fought for the 11th Cavalry, company D of the Union Army. His father was Samuel JONES born in 1820 in Preble County Ohio and his mother Katie VANDYNE was born in Lewisburg, Ohio. I think. Any information you can give me would be appreciated.

On 1859 Preble County Census, my maternal gr-gr-grandmother, Frances (Fanny) BAKER of PA is listed as a 15-yr-old laborer for the Francis B. CASAD family in Camden, OH. Mr. CASAD's profession is listed as "Hatmaker". Was this the family which brought her west from PA after her parents were killed, first going to Chillicothe, Ross, OH. Fanny BAKER married in Preble Co. Dec., 1851 to Jonathan OVERHOLTZ of Camden, Preble, OH. Much BAKER and OVERHOLTZ information to share.

I am looking for info. on Jacob and Mary MATER. They were the par. of my grt- grt-grandmother, Magdalene (aka Lena) KRAMER. Have little on MATER family. Jacob and Mary lived in Jackson Twp., Preble Co. in 1880 census. Lena married Gustav KRAMER in 1863/1864 and then moved to IN. Gustav and 2 bro., William and Conrad were living in Jackson Twp. in 1860 census. No listing of MATER in 1860 census. Looking for the dates of death for Jacob and Mary and where they were buried. Any MATER info helpful. Thanks.

Looking for RICHEY researchers/descendants - Preble County, OH. Mark Millis RICHEY m. Susan E. WIELAND 24 Nov. 1867 in Preble County, OH. Both born in OH. Moved to Richmond, IN, after marriage, and returned to Preble County (New Paris) in 1879. Mark opened a grocery store about Jan. 1879, and died in Feb. 1879. He had a brother, Webster RICHEY. Also related to Narcissa, Robert, and Thomas RICHEY. Another relation, Samuel RICHEY established a drug store in New Paris in 1854.

My father Lloyd Denmore SHEAFER was born November 27, 1904, Maybe 1903. Parents Abraham Elwood SHEAFER. Birth record was never recorded because the doctor had an accident with his horse buggy before the birth was recorded. I would like to know more and confirm this story.
